Mexico City, Late September 2021Media and civil protection authorities reported severe flash floods in areas of Mexico City from 26 September 2021. According to Secretaría de Gestión Integral de Riesgos y PC, around 30 homes were damaged in Xochimilco, where the San Buenaventura River broke its banks. Motorists were rescued from flooded roads in Picacho Ajusco. Roads were also flooded in Tlalpan, Álvaro Obregón and Cuajimalpa de Morelos.
