Sri Lanka, Late November 2021DMC reported severe weather from around 24 November including lightning strikes, rough seas and strong winds as well as heavy rain. Flooding affected areas of Matale, Puttalam, Ampara, Mulaitivu, Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mannar, Moneragala districts. Landslides struck in Galle and Kandy districts. As of 209 November, 2 people had died (1 in a landslide in Kandy, 1 in floods in Vavuniya) and 1 person was reported missing at sea near Batticaloa.
