Amur Region, Russia, August 2022Days of heavy rain caused rivers to rise in the Amur Region in Russia's Far East from 06 August 2022. EMERCOM reported 6 municipalities were affected, as of 08 August, in particular Zeya, Tynda and Magdagachinsky, with 82 residential buildings, 201 household plots, 12 sections of highways, 3 automobile bridges flooded. Road transport was cut to 32 settlements, mostly around Tygda in Magdagachinsky District, where bridges across the Gryaznushka River were damaged. Around 55 residents in the village of Ivanovka, Zeya district, were evacuated by boat or helicopter after the Upper Urkan River rose to levels not seen since the severe flooding in 2013.
