  • Floods and river overflow caused by heavy rainfall continue to affect eastern Australia.
  • According to media reports, two people went missing near Boorowa Locality (central-southern Australia), while more than 1,000 people across the Forbes Shire (central west region of New South Wales) are currently subject to evacuation warnings.
  • On 2-3 November, authorities in New South Wales responded to 345 requests for assistance, with 14 flood rescues throughout southern and western parts of the State. Emergency preparedness operations have been implemented due to expected record flooding events. Several rivers across New South Wales and northern Victoria State are at major flooding levels.
  • Light to locally moderate rainfall is forecast over eastern Victoria on 3 November, and over coastal New South Wales on 4-5 November.
