Tropical Storm Lupit, China and Taiwan, August 2021China More than 60,000 residents were evacuated across the provinces of Guangdong and Fujian as Tropical Storm Lupit made landfall in coastal areas of southern China's Guangdong Province 05 August. Taiwan Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau (CWB) reported Tropical Depression Lupit brought torrential rains to large parts of the country 07 August, causing landslides and flooding that blocked roads in mountainous areas. A section of a 100m bridge in New Taipei City’s Chajiao Borough near Dongyanshan collapsed. Landslides cut transport links in Renai Township, Nantou County. 2,035 people evacuated homes at risk in Kaohsiung City, where severe damage to a bridge in Taoyuan District was also reported.Sun 8 Aug 2021FloodList provided by Copernicus GloFAS
