  • On?28?April, the town of Gulcha in Osh?Oblast, and later on?2–3?May, the Batken District of Batken?Oblast, both in south-western Kyrgyzstan, were struck by heavy rain, river overflow, floods and landslides, resulting in displacement.
  • The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) reported on?3?May that?149?people had been displaced in Batken?Oblast. As of 28 April, in Gulcha,?92?households were affected, with a further four households impacted in Jalal-Abad?Oblast.
  • A state of emergency has been declared in Batken?Oblast.
  • Over the next 48 hours, additional moderate rainfall is forecast across the country.
