Cutremurul s-a produs în cursul după-amiezii, la o adâncime de 30 de kilometri în Marea Sawu şi la trei kilometri de localitatea Andekantor, a informat USGS. Agenţia indoneziană pentru catastrofe naturale a anunţat că nu există deocamdată informaţii privind eventuale victime sau daune.
