DIGOS CITY –– A 5-magnitude quake struck in Kiblawan town of Davao del Sur at 1:44 a.m. on Monday, August 31. the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. Phivolcs tracked the earthquake’s epicenter 8 kilometers southwest of Kiblawan town, with a depth of 18 kilometers.

On 29 October 2019 at 09:04 AM, a 6.6 magnitude earthquake jolted the municipality of Tulunan, North Cotabato (06.81N, 125.03E - 022 km S 79E) with a tectonic origin and a depth of focus of 7 km. The earthquake was also felt in the neighboring municipalities of North Cotabato and Davao Region.

Excerpts. II. EFFECTS. A. AFFECTED POPULATION. A total of 1,542 families/6,397 persons were affected by this earthquake in 57 barangays the Province of Masbate. Of which, 307 families/1,234 persons are currently staying in 12 evacuation center while 10 families/42 persons took shelter with their relatives.
