The Smithsonian/USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report provides information about global volcanism on a weekly basis. Latest Sheveluch report has been published on 22 Jan 2026 06:42. The Kamchatkan Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT) reported continuing eruptive activity at Sheveluch?s ?300 years of RAS? dome on the SW flank of Old Sheveluch and at the Young Sheveluch dome during 13-21 January. A thermal anomaly was identified in satellite images on most days; weather clouds obscured views on 13, 15, and 20 January. The Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS) reported that steam-and-gas emissions were visible during 19-20 January.
