Hurricane Hilary, Mexico, August 2023Heavy rainfall brought by Hurricane Hilary caused flooding in parts of western Mexico on 17 August 2023. Local officials reported one person died after being swept away flood waters in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Another person died when a vehicle was swept away in Mulegé in Baja California Sur on 19 August.
