  • The tropical storm named FOUR formed over the northern Bay of Bengal on 31 July, and made landfall over the southern coast of Bangladesh on 1 August.
  • It afterwards moved west-northwestwards and reached the State of West Bengal, north-eastern India.
  • On 2-3 August, due to the influence of the remnants of FOUR and the monsoon season, heavy rainfall and strong winds are forecast over most of southern and western Bangladesh, over West Bengal and Odisha State in India and over Rakhine, Kayin, and Mon States in Myanmar.
