Update: 11:02AM A MODERATE size earthquake was recorded in the Fiji region this morning. The 5.8 magnitude earthquake at 6.24am was at a depth of 28 kilometres. A strong earthquake struck off the southern coast of Fiji this morning, but there are no reports of damage. The 6.0 earthquake struck at a depth of 14km and was centred 436km SSW of Suva according to the US Geological Survey. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has not issued an alert about the earthquake.
