  • An earthquake of 5.5 M at a depth of 8 km hit south California on 4 June at 1.32 UTC. The epicentre was approximately 22 km east of Ridgecrest City (Kern County). 
  • A series of aftershocks with magnitude up to 3.5 M were recorded. Up to 1,000 people were exposed to strong shaking.
  • According to media, no immediate damage or disruptions have been reported across the affected area.
  • On 4 and 6 July 2019, 2 strong earthquakes of 6.4 M and 7.1 M hit the area leading to widespread damage.
