Western Turkey, December 2020Heavy rain and flash floods were reported in parts of Izmir Province in western Turkey from 14 December. A vehicle was swept away by floods in Menderes District leaving 2 people missing, later found dead. 3 others survived. Flooding was also reported in coastal areas of Karsyaka district of Izmir. Homes and vehicles were damaged, although no figures were given. Heavy rain was also reported in parts of Mugla and Antalya provinces during the same period.
