سنغافورة 27 ذو القعدة 1438 هـ الموافق 19 أغسطس 2017 م واس ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 6.4 درجات على مقياس ريختر اليوم غربي جزيرة تونجا بالمحيط الهادي. وأفادت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية أن الزلزال وقع على بعد 500 كيلومتر غربي جزيرة تونجا بالمحيط الهادي. ولم ترد أنباء عن وقوع إصابات أو أضرار مادية، كما لم تصدر تحذيرات من حدوث أمواج مد عاتية (تسونامي).
