Sulphur miner, Arifin, 50, watched in horror when Andika, 61, was hit by a three-metre high wave following tremors on Mount Ijen in East Java, Indonesia , last Friday. Watch the video above.

Moderate quake strikes Talaud Islands, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the Talaud Islands in Indonesia at 9.06 pm (Malaysian time) today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement said the earthquake occurred 17km east of Talaud Island at a depth of 83 km. However, it posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
