MANILA - There is no tsunami threat to the Philippines , the Phivolcs said, after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck east of New Zealand's north island in the early hours of Friday. According to the Phivolcs, tsunami waves are only possible for coasts located within 300 km of the earthquake epicenter.
