KINGSTON (MetOffice; 05:00AM) -- At 4:00 a.m. the centre of Tropical Storm Humberto was located near Latitude 13.4 degrees north and Longitude 22.8 degrees west or about 230 kilometres southeast of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands. Tropical Storm Humberto is moving towards the west near 19 km/h and this general motion should continue today.

Tropical Depression Nine has formed in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean, near the Cape Verde Islands off the west coast of Africa. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for the southern Cape Verde Islands, as the depression is expected to strengthen to Tropical Storm Humberto within the next day or two as it brushes those islands.
