Tropical Depression 06W has now been upgraded to Tropical Storm Tapah . According to the latest update from the National Weather Service a Typhoon Watch is now in effect for Alamagan and Pagan.

Guam - Tropical Depression 6W has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Tapah . In addition, the National Weather Service advises in its Monday 2pm Monday update that a Typhoon Watch is now in effect for Alamagan and Pagan. A Typhoon Watch means typhoon force winds of 74 mph or greater are possible within 48 hours.

Tropical storm Six is forecast to strike the Northern Mariana Islands as a typhoon at about 00:00 GMT on 29 April.
