• On 15 April, Padang Terap district of Kedah state, northwestern Malaysia has been affected by severe weather, including storms and winds, resulting in displacement.
• According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 15 April, 267 people were displaced, sheltering in one evacuation centre.
• Over the next 24 hours, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected over the states of Kedah and Sarawak.

• On 14 April, Surakarta city in Central Java, Indonesia, has been affected by heavy rainfall and the overflow of the Kali Jenes river, triggering floods and resulting in displacement.
• According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 14 April, 109 people were displaced and a total of 2 860 affected.
• Over the next 48 hours, additional light rain is forecast over Central Java.

• On 14?April, due to recent heavy rainfall, several rivers in the Ngäbe-Buglé region and in the provinces of Bocas del?Toro and northern Veraguas (western Panama) overflowed, resulting in casualties and damage. At least six districts were affected: four in the Ngäbe-Buglé region, one in Bocas del?Toro and one in northern Veraguas.
• According to the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC), one person died in the community of Guoroni, Kankintú district (Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca) due to a flood event, while approximately?15?000 people have been affected. In addition, roads and bridges have been flooded and schools have been closed in some affected areas.
• National authorities are conducting a damage assessment in the area.
• For the next 48?hours, moderate rain is expected over western Panama.

• Tropical Cyclone?Sinlaku is moving north-east over the ocean and on?16?April at?03:00?UTC, its centre was located over the ocean approximately 144?km west of Alamagan Island, with maximum sustained winds of 185?km/?h.
• According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a total of 1?080 people remain still evacuated in 16 evacuation centres, 320 in the Northern Mariana Islands and 760 in Guam. Additionally, FEMA and media report power and water outages, particularly on Guam, Saipan, Rota and Tinian.
• Sinlaku is forecast to continue north-northeast over the ocean; it will continue to pull away from Tinian and Saipan and will pass west of Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan, before turning more to the northeast and passing north of Agrihan on?17?April, weakening.
• Over the next?48?hours, heavy to very heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges are forecast for most of the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam. A Typhoon Warning is in effect for Rota, Tinian, Saipan, Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan islands.

• From 11 to 13?April, north-western Haiti experienced heavy rainfall that caused floods and river overflows, leading to fatalities and extensive damage. The municipalities most severely impacted were Port-de-Paix, Saint-Louis du Nord and Anse-à-Foleur.
• Media reports dated 15?April indicated that 12 people had died in Saint-Louis du Nord as a result of landslides and being swept away by floodwaters, while several others were injured or missing. In total, around 2?500 residents were affected; many were displaced after approximately 1?200 homes were flooded. The inundation also damaged roads and bridges, resulted in the loss of hundreds of livestock, and forced the closure of schools and businesses.
• Access to several of the affected communities remains cut off because of the persistent rains.
• Forecasts for the next 48?hours predict moderate rain and thunderstorms across the country, with heavier precipitation expected in the south, west and centre.
