GREEN alert: The Marapi Volcanic eruption is unlikely to require external humanitarian assistance based on the exposed population and coping capacity.
The Smithsonian/USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report provides information about global volcanism on a weekly basis. Latest Marapi report has been published on 30 Sep 2025 10:08. The Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) reported that eruptive activity at Marapi (on Sumatra) continued during 24-30 September.
