Southern Peru, Mid-February 2021Heavy rainfall triggered floods and mudslides in parts of La Convencion Province in Cusco Region, southern Peru, from 16 February, causing fatalities and severe material damages. INDECI also reported flooding in in Las Piedras district, Tambopata province in Madre de Dios Region after the Madre de Dios river overflowed after heavy rain on 15 February.
