Moldova, Late August 2022Local media in Moldova reported heavy rain flooded several streets in Chisinau on 30 August 2022. The water level reached almost one meter in some areas. Drivers in around 10 vehicles trapped in flood waters had to be rescued. Several flights were diverted due to extreme weather conditions. The Ministry of the Interior appealed to residents not to leave their homes except in cases of emergency.
