Hurricane Orlene, Mexico, October 2022Hurricane Orlene made landfall in Mazatlán City, Sinaloa state, Mexico as Category 1 Hurricane 03 October. Wind damage caused power outages. Sinaloa Civil Protection reported some evacuations and flooding in Escuinapa. Around 600 people were evacuated in the neighbouring Nayarit State. Orlene was downgraded to a tropical storm as it moved inland. Media reported some minor flooding in Jalisco State. On 04 October media reported flooding in the municipality of Tultitlán located in the northeastern part of the State of México caused severe disruption to traffic and public transport. Several vehicles were reportedly trapped but there were no reports of any rescues. Streets were also flooded in the municipality of Coacalco.Wed 5 Oct 2022Provided by Copernicus EMS GloFAS
