Afghanistan, March 2023UNOCHA Afghanistan reported on 28 March 2023 that heavy rains and flash flooding affected around 645 families across several provinces including Uruzgan and Balkh. Official state news agency Bakhtar News Agency several buildings were destroyed in flash floods in Charikar city in Parwan Province on 29 March. On 30 March Bakhtar News Agency reported 200 houses and 6,000 acres of farmland were destroyed in recent flash floods in the Delaram District in Nimroz (also known as Nimruz) province.
