Germany, Late May 2023Stormy weather affected numerous states of Germany from 22 to 23 May 2023. Baden-Württemberg Minor flooding was reported in the districts of Rems-Murr and Göppingen. Firefighters carried out 10 interventions in Göppingen, where 8 buildings were damaged. Hesse Firefighters reported around 30 incidents of flooding in Lahn-Dill district. Flooding and a mudslide was reported in Hersfeld-Rotenburg district. Nordrhein-Westfalen Local media reported flooding in the city of Fröndenberg in the Unna district. Firefighters carried out 100 interventions in the district Märkischer Kreis and over 500 interventions in Lippe District. One person was evacuated from a flooded house in Olpe district. Lower Saxony One person was injured in Rotenburg-Wümme district after a traffic accident blamed on the bad weather. Several roads were flooded in Holzminden district. Saarland Minor flooding was reported in Saarpfalz district and Saarbrücken.
