Hungary, Early June 2023Local media in Hungary reported minor flooding in Bodony, Recsk and Mátraderecsk in Heves County on 07 June 2023. Houses, basements, and yards were flooded. More severe flooding stuck in Gyöngyöstarján, also in Heves County, where one person was reported missing and later found dead.. National Directorate General of Disaster Management (BMOK) of Hungary reported flooding in Nógrád County. BMOK reported basements of family houses were flooded in Pászto. Volunteers and emergency crews installed temporary flood barriers. Flood incidents were also reported in Szuha, Ecseg and Szurdokpüspöki.
