Tropical Cyclone Hamoon, Bangladesh, October 2023Tropical Cyclone Hamoon made landfall on the coast near Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on 24 October 2023. Bangladesh Red Crescent (BDRCS) reported 273,000 people were evacuated. As of 25 October, three fatalities and at least six injured people have been reported in Cox's Bazar. Fatalities were caused by falling trees and collapsing buildings, BDRCS said. Some flooding and landslide were reported following heavy rain.
