Sierra Leone, Late August to September 2024IFRC reported flooding affected parts of Sierra Leone from late August 2024. On 16 September the Bumbuna Dam in Tonkolili district overflowed, flooding communities downstream. Hundreds were displaced. IFRC reported damage including the loss of household items, food supplies, livestock, farmlands and crops. IFRC also reported the collapse of a building in Freetown caused multiple fatalities and injuries on 16 September.
