Indonesia - Severe weather and floods
  • Heavy rainfall and strong winds have been affecting central Indonesia, in particular Java Island, over the last few days, causing floods and a number of severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in population evacuation and damage.
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 14 August, 308 evacuated and a total of nearly 3,300 affected people across the Bogor regency, West Java province. In addition, ADINet also reports 665 damaged houses across the aforementioned affected regency.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more rainfall is still forecast over most of the Java Island.
