  • Heavy rainfall has been impacting eastern Georgia since 28 September, particularly in the Kakheti region, leading to widespread flooding that has affected communities and caused significant damage.
  • As of 6 October, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) reported that 10,300 people in the Lagodekhi municipality of Kakheti have been affected. Homes and farmlands have sustained damage, while several roads have been cut off, leaving some areas isolated.
  • On 9 October, drier conditions are expected over the whole country, while more rainfall is forecast over western Georgia on 10-11 October.
