Bhutan, Early October 2025Local media reported several people missing after floods in Bhutan in early October 2025. Dozens of roads were washed out by floods or blocked by landslides. The Wangchu River was overflowing at the Tala Dam in Chukha District for the first time on record. Local media said any damage to the dam will be known only once the flood subsides. The dam was still generating power. The spillway gates were open but the volume of water was excessive.Sun 5 Oct 2025Provided by Copernicus EMS GloFAS
