  • On 12 October, heavy rain caused the overflow of rivers and consequent flooding in the municipalities of Retalhuleu and San Sebastián, Retalhuleu department, south-western Guatemala, resulting in fatalities and damage.
  • As of 13 October, media report one fatality in the Pajosom canton, municipality of San Sebastián, and several families that were evacuated, 354 people were affected in the municipality of Retalhuleu, while 625 people were affected in San Sebastián. Damage to infrastructure are also reported.
  • Over the next 24 hours, additional rain and thunderstorms are expected across the Retalhuleu department.
