Albania - Severe weather, floods, and landslides
  • On 18 November, heavy rain caused river overflows, floods and landslides across Albania, resulting in evacuations and damage. Particularly affected were Dibër county in northern Albania, and Durrës county in southwestern Albania.
  • Media, as of 18 November, report eight people were evacuated from their house in Mat, Dibër county due to flooding. 
  • In the village of Borizana, Durrës county, roads were blocked by debris from a canal overflow. Additionally, several mountainous areas in Dukagjin were isolated by floods and landslides for several hours, rendering several villages inaccessible. Widespread power outages were also reported.
  • Over the next 48 hours, additional moderate to heavy rain is forecast over Albania.
