  • On 9 December, storm Bram brought severe weather with heavy rain, strong winds and consequent flooding to Ireland and the United Kingdom (UK), causing damage and severe traffic disruptions.
  • As of 9 December, media report seven people rescued from their submerged cars and roofs of their flooded homes in the UK. Media further report cancellations in public transport with flights, trains, and ferries cancelled across the UK and Ireland. Power outages with 23,000 people affected across the UK and 25,000 across Ireland.
  • On 10 December, additional rain fall is forecast over Scotland, while the rest of the UK and Ireland are expecting drier conditions with only isolated rain. The UK Med Office still upheld yellow warnings for wind in Scotland.
