Iran, Late December 2025Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) reported severe weather including flooding and heavy snow in areas of Khuzestan Province in late December 2025. Heavy rain and snow blizzards affected other areas of the country in the following days. As of 31 December, IRCS reported at least 10 people killed and two were missing following floods and blizzards in the provinces of West Azarbaijan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Kurdestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. IRCS teams provided rescue and relief services to 25,806 people as a result of heavy rain and snow. Rescuers were searching for the two people missing in floods in the provinces of Khuzestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.Thu 1 Jan 2026Provided by Copernicus EMS GloFAS
