Tropical Cyclone Maila, Solomon Islands, April 2026Disaster authorities reported Tropical Cyclone Maila caused coastal flooding in areas of the Solomon Islands in April 2026. Strong winds and rough seas also caused damage. IFRC reported over 70,000 people were affected by the storm, with 120 displaced. Four people were reported missing in Marovo, Western Province. Three people were reported missing at sea in Wagina and were later found safe.
