Prešov Region, Slovakia, Early August 2026A flash flood developed in the Belianske Tatras near Ždiar after an intense thunderstorm around midday on 03 August 2026. Flooding along the Tokárenský stream swept away flood-protection structures, uprooted trees and carried large amounts of wood, gravel and other debris downstream.
