  • Heavy rain affected north-eastern Algeria on 30-31 August causing floods that resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 2 September, two fatalities in Guorriguer town in Tébessa Province, due to the overflow of the  Bou-Said Wadi, and dozens of affected houses.
  • Over the next 48 hours, more rainfall and thunderstorms are expected over Tébessa Province.
