Mississippi, USA, Late August 2022Torrential rain caused flash flooding in Mississippi, USA, on 24 August 2022. NWS Jackson reported record daily rainfall totals in Jackson, Meridian and Vicksburg. Jackson set a new August monthly record at 11.57 inches breaking the old monthly August record of 11.51 inches Affected locations included areas of state capital Jackson and surrounding areas, and parts of Hinds, Madison, Rankin counties.
