Himachal Pradesh, India, August 2022Heavy rain from 19 August 2022 triggered flash floods, landslides and rockslides in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. As of 21 August 22 people had died, 6 people were missing, feared dead, and 10 injured. Mandi, Kangra, Shimla, Hamirpur and Chamba districts were worst affected. Hundreds of roads were blocked leaving many stranded. Rail services were suspended after a bridge was damaged near Jogindernagar. 8 of the victims were all members of the same family who died when a house collapsed following a landslide in Mandi district.Sun 21 Aug 2022Provided by Copernicus EMS GloFAS
