  • Heavy rainfall and strong winds have been affecting central and northern California (USA), in particular the San Francisco bay area, since 4 February, causing floods, landslides, and several severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in population evacuation and damage.
  • Media report, as of 6 February, several evacuation orders and around 50 already evacuated people across the Sonoma county. One damaged house and the school's closure were reported in the same county. In addition, media also report several closed roads across Sonoma, Marin, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties due to floods and mudslides.
  • Over the next 48 hours, more rainfall is still forecast over most of California. NOAA has issued flood warnings and flood watches for the already affected area.
