  • Since the past few days, eastern and northeastern Spain has been experiencing heavy rain and strong winds caused by the DANA system named Alice. The worst-affected areas are Catalonia, the Valencian Community, and the Balearic Islands.
  • According to media reports, there have been no casualties, but several localities have been flooded, with some people trapped in vehicles, buildings, and ground floors due to rising floodwaters. Additionally, approximately 1,000 people have been relocated in Montsià town, and train and flight disruptions have been reported across the affected regions.
  • On 13-14 October, moderate to heavy rainfall and localized thunderstorms are expected in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, central and northern parts of the Valencian Community. Orange alerts for heavy rain and thunderstorms remain in effect in areas of the east and north-eastern of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as Ibiza, and Formentera (Balearic Islands).
