  • Since 23 November, widespread floods caused by heavy rainfall have been affecting KwaZulu-Natal province in eastern South Africa, resulting in casualties and damage.
  • According to media reports, at least three people have died, and extensive damage has been reported across uMshwathi Municipality near Pietermaritzburg.
  • For the next 24 hours, moderate rainfall is still expected across the affected province.
