Central and Southern Italy, Sardinia, Late September 2022Strong thunderstorms hit Sardinia on 22 September 2022 caused minor flooding in parts of Oristano, where the fire service carried out 40 interventions. Media reported further heavy rain in central and southern parts of the country in the following days. In Tuscany flooding affected Cecina and Marina di Bibbona in the province of Livorno, and areas of Arezzo municipality in Arezzo Province. In Campania Region, flooding was reported in Cervinara in the province of Avellino, areas of the province of Caserta and in streets of Naples.
