  • Heavy rainfall affected southern Texas state, southern USA over the period from 25 to 29 March, causing floods, flash floods and river overflows that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 31 March, three fatalities across the Hidalgo County, far southern Texas, bordering north-eastern Mexico. In addition, media also reports a number of rescued people, several flooded houses and several flooded roads across the Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron counties.
  • Over the next 24 hours,  drier conditions are forecast over the whole of Texas, while more rainfall is still forecast over south-eastern Texas starting from 1 April.

  • Heavy rainfall, strong winds, tornadoes and thunderstorms continued to affect the southern USA and the Midwest region, in particular the states of Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Missouri over the past 48 hours, causing floods, flash floods and several severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 7 April, 20 fatalities, of whom ten across Tennessee, three in Missouri, two in Kentucky, two in Georgia, and one each in Indiana, Arkansas and Mississippi, mainly due to floods and tornadoes. In addition, media also report 14 injured people across Tennessee, Indiana, Mississippi, and Missouri states.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more rainfall, strong winds, and thunderstorms are still forecast over most of the south-eastern USA and most of the Midwest region.

  • Heavy rainfall, strong winds, tornadoes and thunderstorms continued to affect a number of states across the southern USA and the Midwest region over the past few days, causing floods, flash floods and several severe weather-related incidents (mainly due to tornadoes) that have resulted in more casualties and widespread damage.
  • Media report, as of 9 April, indicate 23 fatalities: ten in Tennessee, four in Kentucky, three in Missouri, two in Arkansas, two more in Georgia, and one each in Indiana and Mississippi, mainly due to floods and tornadoes. In addition, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reports a total of 982 evacuated people across 180 shelters throughout the affected states. Moreover, according to FEMA, 13 injured people were also reported.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more rainfall and strong winds are still forecast over most of the Midwest region.
