  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting northern Thailand, in particular the Nan, Lampang, Chiang Rai, and Phetchabun provinces over the last few days, causing floods and triggering  a landslide that have resulted in affected populations and damage.
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 18 July, nearly 2,200 affected people and approximately 600 flooded houses across all the aforementioned affected provinces due to floods. In addition, ADINet also reports one damaged house in the Nan province due to a landslide.
  • Over the next 96 hours, more heavy rainfall is forecast over most of Thailand, except over the peninsular southern Thailand.
Tropical Storm Wipha, Thailand, July 2025Storm Wipha caused flooding in the provinces of Nan, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Lampang, Chiang Mai, and Loei in Thailand in late July 2025. Many areas had already seen flooding earlier in July (reported separately). As of 24 July, DDPM reported 8,775 households or 32,176 people affected. The worst affected areas were in Chiang Rai and Nan. One person was missing in Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province, after being swept away by floodwaters.
