Biberach District, Baden-Württemberg State, Germany, Late July 2025At least two carriages of a regional train derailed near Riedlingen in the Biberach district on 27 July 2025. Three people died and many were injured. IN the days following the incident, local media and authorities said the derailment was likely caused by a landslide. DWD reported heavy rain was falling in Riedlingen at the time of the accident. Local police said a sewage pipe probably overflowed and water then flowed down the railway embankment and caused a landslide.Tue 29 Jul 2025Provided by Copernicus EMS GloFAS
