  • On 16-17 September, heavy rainfall affected the Nord-Ouest department, on the north Atlantic coast of Haiti, causing river overflow and resulting in widespread damage.
  • According to UN OCHA, as of 25 September, one person died in Nan Rozye town of the Chansolme commune, one person has been injured, several people are missing, at least 823 families have been affected, and approximately 650 houses have been flooded due to the overflow of the Trois-Rivières river in Port-de-Paix commune in the Nord-Ouest department.
  • Moderate rainfall is expected over Haiti on 29 September, and drier conditions are expected over the affected areas on 30 September.
  • Priority needs identified include clearing and evacuation of blocked roads and high-risk areas, provision of sanitation kits and distribution of non-food items.
