Albania - Severe weather, floods and landslides, update

Heavy rain and thunderstorms from 18 to 22 November triggered river overflows, flooding, and landslides across Albania, resulting in fatalities, evacuations, and widespread damage. Lezha and Durrës counties in northwestern Albania have been the most severely impacted.
As of 22 November, Albanian authorities confirms one fatality in Devoll Municipality, Korçë county, in the southeast, as well as five evacuated families in Durrës City, Durrës county. In Kurbin municipality, Lezha county, 80 families remain isolated, while 30 families in Douchar Village (south) have also been cut off.
Floodwaters have affected 90 houses in Mamurras and Milot towns, Lezha county, and 50 houses in Durrës county. Additionally, 220 ha of agricultural land remain submerged.
On 19 November, the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS) was activated in rapid mapping mode (EMSR850), and seven maps have been produced to date.
Further very heavy rainfall is expected across Albania from 24 to 25 November.
